Quick Detailer: what is it and how does it work? Why use a quick detailer?
Constantly shiny car paint is the dream of many drivers. Fortunately, there are specialized cosmetics that can easily make this desire come true. They are headed by a quick detailer. Find out what it is, how it works and why you should use it.
Quick Detailer – what is it?
Quick detailer is a professional cosmetic agent that allows you to extract maximum shine and saturated color from your car body. In fact, it is the synthetic equivalent of wax.
If you've ever been interested in this, how to wax a car, you have certainly already heard information about this preparation. Its main task is to improve the condition of the car paint between subsequent waxings.
Quick detailer has a liquid consistency, making it easy to use, and its use does not require special skills or many years of experience in car detailing.
How does Quick Detailer work?
Quick detailer - contrary to appearances - is not only suitable for wiping slightly dirty cars that spend most of their time in the garage and are supposed to look impressive during exhibitions and rallies.
You can use the preparation every day, after every wash, to refresh the body of your car. Easily removes white deposits from water and any stains. In addition, it is also advisable to use it as an additional lubricant for the clay - regardless of whether you use traditional clay or a cloth or sponge covered with a claying surface.
It will also help you remove a thin layer of dust. However, remember not to rub it into dirty paint (e.g. with sand particles or larger dirt on the surface), as this may unintentionally scratch the bodywork. This will manifest itself in characteristic, circular "swirls".
Quick Detailer – how to use it?
Okay, you already know that you are going to buy a quick detailer in the near future. How to use this preparation then? Get to know our short but precise user manual.
- Wash your car thoroughly. Preferably manually, the so-called “the two-bucket method.” Pour clean water into one and water mixed with car shampoo into the other. Each time, before immersing the car wash glove in a bucket of water and detergent, rinse it in a bucket of water only. Don't limit yourself to rinsing the car with a pressure washer, because it will not remove 100% of the dirt from the body. And although you won't notice any dirt residues at first glance, after using the quick detailer on uncleaned paint, you may end up with the above-mentioned "swirls".
- Dry your thoroughly washed car with similar precision with a towel microfiber.
- Move the car to a shaded place, this will prevent the quick detailer from drying too quickly or smearing too much.
- Time to use the quick detailer. Apply the preparation in small amounts, directly onto the varnish or microfiber. Spread it thoroughly over the entire element. Try to apply it to one part of the car at a time, because you still need to break it in. This will prevent it from drying on the varnish before you can finish the job.
- After spreading the quick detailer on a given element, rub it with a clean microfiber cloth. Do this until all streaks disappear.
If you take care of your car yourself and take care of its cosmetics, using a quick detailer will be a piece of cake for you. If you are just taking your first steps in home car detailing, you will also be able to use this preparation without any problems.
Quick Detailer – is it worth buying?
Quick detailers are car cosmetics, which may not replace good quality wax or ceramic coating, but can be an excellent complementary treatment. This is also a great option if you have a company car at your disposal and you don't pay much attention to it on a daily basis, but you still want it to look great.
If you regularly apply this preparation to your car after each wash, you will quickly see how great the effect is. Quick detailer will give the paint a captivating shine, fill in any minor scratches and nobly darken the color, bringing out its depth.
This type of product is also characterized by hydrophobic properties. Thanks to this, it perfectly protects the paint against rain, making it much easier for water to flow off the car. It also prevents dust and mud from settling on the car and protects the bodywork against possible pitting caused by, among others, by insects, asphalt or metallic particles from brake pads.
Quick Detailer – which one to choose?
Time to find out what a quick detailer choose so that it fulfills its task perfectly. First of all, it should be made of good quality synthetic wax. This will guarantee perfect distribution on the body and spectacular effects that you will achieve after using the preparation.
Secondly, it should have the above-mentioned hydrophobic properties and make the paint shine significantly more visible and protect against the deposition of dust and dirt, as well as the negative effects of UV radiation. In addition, it should fill delicate scratches on the bodywork.
A good quick detailer will be intended for use on various surfaces - from plastic, through rubber and metal, to ceramic. If used properly, it will not only make the paint shine, but will also extend the durability of ceramic and waxed coatings.
This medicine has one more advantage. When used regularly, it significantly shortens the time needed to wash your car - regardless of whether you do it manually or in an automatic car wash.
How often should you use Quick Detailer?
As we have already mentioned, we recommend using the quick detailer after each hand washing of the car. This is not a long process, so it should not be burdensome for you in any way.
Regular use of the preparation will allow you to enjoy the impeccable external appearance of your car for many years and will significantly extend its life. Provided, of course, that you also take care of it from the outside. But this is a topic for a completely separate article.
