Every year, an increasing number of societies can proudly call themselves postmodern. This is, to some extent, related to their systematic enrichment. Car manufacturers regularly work on expanding their product offers and increasingly demonstrate an individual approach to the customer, which also includes maximum product personalization. These are some of the main factors that made the car the primary means of transportation. Read the Master's Decalogue - mandatory rules for drivers.

The ability to travel quickly in comfortable conditions has moved unnoticed from luxury to standard. People began to besiege Driver Training Centers in large numbers to learn how to drive. Having a driving license among young people is no longer perceived as a trend but rather as an obligation. There comes a moment in the life of every teenage person when the desire to have a driving license becomes a priority, as important as passing the high school leaving exam or choosing the right studies. Therefore, every young driver should learn this decalogue of safe driving.

Based on data Cepik In 2017, there were approximately 22 million passenger cars registered in Poland. The number of drivers on the road increases every year. Everyone has their own habits that they use while driving. The multitude of cars has led to the need to redefine the term "driver". Currently, every road user should have a much broader set of soft skills and deeper strategic thinking to ensure the safety of themselves and everyone in their immediate surroundings. So how can you drive a car safely and still enjoy driving? Three-time European Rally Champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz will present his 10 tips to make driving easier.

1 – Choose cruise control for longer routes!

Smoothness and economy of driving - these are the most important features of using this mechanism. That's why this decalogue begins with this. When going on longer routes, it is worth turning it on. Thanks to this, our feet will not get tired so quickly. Let's not forget that we can use it when we want to maintain the appropriate speed, for example when moving in built-up areas. In the automotive industry, this is undoubtedly one of the greatest conveniences in recent years. It has a positive impact on driving comfort and safety. However, you should always remain alert and vigilant so that the cruise control does not distract you from driving, as it has a tendency to put you to sleep.

2 – Don't forget to check your tire treads!

Its permissible depth is 1,6 mm. In our part of the world, we usually change our tires twice a year. For the first time, from summer to winter and similarly, when spring comes, from winter to summer. This is the perfect time to check their condition. How to do it? Most tires have wear indicators on their tread called TWI (Tread Wear Indicator) - these are specific bulges between the tread blocks. It is best to use professional devices for measurement, they are cheap and convenient to use. However, if we do not have such a device, we can always measure it with a match or a coin.

3 – Let's not get carried away by emotions – music will help us with this.

Decalogue point three, i.e. playing music while driving helps you relax. It may prove helpful, especially when we encounter rude behavior from other drivers and start to get angry. Let music help you control your emotions! Remember, however, that if turned on too loudly, it interferes with hearing emergency vehicles and concentrating on the road. Therefore, in this case it is worth finding a golden mean. If we have already driven a certain road many times, we know every pothole and we know the traffic intensity, we can naturally afford to drive along this section to the sounds of our favorite band or radio station. However, if we go in the so-called "unknown", let's consciously give up everything that makes the journey more pleasant in favor of even greater concentration while driving.

4 – How to deal with fogged windows?

An important issue is the appropriate level of humidity in the car, which may negatively affect visibility. The Decalogue points out that in winter our shoes are often wet, and fabric mats quickly absorb water, which is a source of moisture - windows are guaranteed to fog up. During this period, it is worth replacing fabric mats with rubber ones. Moreover, cat litter can help in the fight against moisture.

5 – Mud… can be an insurmountable obstacle!

Especially when it is difficult to assess its depth at first glance. In such road conditions, we should remember to maintain an appropriate speed. Too high and may result in partial or complete loss of vehicle control. You should also add and remove gas gently and avoid high revs.

6 – Be especially careful on winding roads.

First of all, it is imperative that you stay in your lane. Even though sometimes there are no lines drawn, we should still try to stay as close to the right edge as possible. When cornering, remember to have the gear engaged. Otherwise, we may lose control of the vehicle. This may result in finding yourself in an extremely dangerous situation for yourself and everyone in your immediate surroundings. Therefore, when driving a car, before we make any maneuver, let us try to predict the effect of each of our decisions. When driving, caution is our best friend because it can save us from a disaster.

7 – Incorrect overtaking – one of the main causes of accidents.

In order to perform the correct overtaking maneuver, we should first make sure that we have appropriate conditions for it (whether it is the right place and whether there is anything approaching from the opposite direction). This is important, without it the Decalogue would be incomplete. When we are sure of this, we should turn on the turn signal and shift into the appropriate gear. If we are driving, for example, in 4th or 5th gear at a speed of 50-60 km, we should necessarily reduce the gear.

8 – How to take care of your headlights?

A properly lit road is essential. Fortunately, there is a quick and easy way to do this – polishing paste. Yes, it can help us in our efforts to keep the headlights clean and they will look almost new.

9 – When we have to deal with negative temperatures, which may cause the key lock to freeze.

It can help in such situations professional preparation, or if we don't have one, we can use a hand disinfectant. This action is included in my Decalogue. Just put a few drops on the key and the lock will be unfreezed!

10 – How to transport animals?

It is true that in our country there are no detailed legal regulations regarding the transport of animals. However, there are certain guidelines that are worth following for the good of yourself and the transported animal. It is best to transport rodents in a specially adapted carrier, which must also be padded. Birds are traditionally transported in cages. When transporting dogs and cats, you should again use a special carrier, but in this case, make sure that it is adapted to the size of the dog. These types of accessories can cost from several to several hundred zlotys.
