Car wipers wear out quickly due to constant intensive use. They should be replaced regularly with new ones because they significantly affect driving safety. A good time to take a closer look at them is the autumn car inspection, when we prepare it for the autumn and winter period. When working well, they provide us with adequate visibility, even in difficult weather conditions, such as rain or snow.
Most manufacturers claim that car wipers work best for about half a year after their installation. Over the following months and years, their effectiveness systematically decreases, they do not clean the windows and do not collect water well enough. Did you know that during these 6 months, car wipers perform approximately half a million window wiping cycles? You must admit that their job is not easy.
When should car windshield wipers be replaced?
Observe their work and you will easily notice signals indicating irregularities in their operation. Most often, the need to replace them is indicated by streaks on the glass. However, dirt does not always mean that you need to buy new car wipers. Sometimes you just need to clean them well to make them work well and effectively again. However, streaks also occur when the rubber wears out. This happens as a result of using the feathers at low temperatures and frequent contact with ice and dirt. A worn out wiper is a wiper that needs to be replaced.
Car wipers can also make disturbing sounds, they bang rhythmically against the windshield and make noise. This is largely due to deformation of the rubber blades, and sometimes also to a thick layer of dirt on the glass. So remove excess dirt and if the wiper still makes noise and bounces, we recommend replacing it.

Improper operation of the wipers means that the windshield is not washed thoroughly and leaves streaks and streaks on it, which limits visibility on the road. The efficiency of the wipers will be determined by how thoroughly they wipe the glass. If there are unwiped spots left on it, it means that the feathers are pressing unevenly on it. Instead of improving visibility, the operation of such wipers often worsens it. Rigid blades do not rotate and the wiper only moves in one direction. The landscape behind the window appears as if it were behind a fog, which prevents us from correctly assessing the distance from other vehicles on the road and stationary objects we pass.
How to choose car wipers?
You need to know what length they should be and what size fits your car model. The type of mounting is no less important. More and more often, however, manufacturers include special adapters with their wipers, which allow them to be fitted to most cars. We can distinguish two types of car wipers - with a frame and without a frame. Car wipers with a frame are distinguished by a metal frame that presses the working part to the glass. There is no metal structure in wipers without a frame, the frame is integrated with the working part.
