I don't have allergies, but spring in full bloom can effectively block my nose and sinuses. The source of this is still my car, despite the fact that we've been refreshing it for a few blog posts. That's why we should treat all these activities as a whole, although due to lack of time we're dividing them into stages. This time about things that have a big impact on our well-being and health, as well as the health of our passengers.
Owners of some new cars, not necessarily top-shelf ones, have systems that monitor the air quality in the car at their disposal. They inform you about the need to replace the cabin filter and even the ionizer! For now, most of us have to be satisfied with a regular ventilation or air conditioning system. But they all have in common the need to systematically take care of a few details. So let's get to work, not in the sense of being replaced by devices, but in the sense of doing the work ourselves.
Air conditioning dilemmas – zlet's take care of the air quality in the car
First of all, as already mentioned, you should look under the engine hood and remove any leaves and other dirt from all the nooks and crannies. Out of spite, they like to gather in places where air is sucked into the car cabin. On the other side, inside, we have ventilation grilles and between them difficult-to-reach cables and ducts. Although access to them is blocked by a filter (remember to replace them regularly), some of the contaminants still settle on the walls, connections and the air conditioning evaporator. This creates an ideal environment for the development of bacteria and fungi that attack our respiratory tract.

Apart from regular inspections of the air conditioning system and refilling the coolant, you need to clean the entire system yourself at least once every six months. The first allies of moisture inside the car are the floor covering and velvet mats, which can easily be compared to a large and very absorbent sponge. On a daily basis, none of us pays attention to the fact that during rainy weather we bring in a certain amount of water on our shoes. Sooner - hopefully every time - we will spend five seconds shaking the snow off our soles. But we still cannot avoid the laws of physics when, under the influence of the heating, what remains will condense and soak into every possible nook and cranny. My best option is two sets of wipers because it's comfortable. In the fall and winter, I can quickly and effectively remove accumulated water or slush from rubber boots, and it is also easier to wash them. In spring and summer I replace them with velvet rugs, which I also wash from time to time.
Now is the best time to clean the entire carpet. Therefore, my plan is a thorough vacuuming (unfortunately, this cannot be guaranteed by the device at the gas station), upholstery liquid which I spread and rub in with a regular hand brush, drying in the spring sun and subsequent vacuuming.
Finally, taking advantage of the warm weather and the possibility of airing, I spread the so-called odor absorber. In the case of these preparations, I also recommend those from nanotechnology.
