I used to wait until winter and only in mid-autumn I checked the car more thoroughly and made several repairs and changes to prepare it well for frost and snow. I have been doing this for some time now, at the beginning of September. Rainy days, lower temperatures and poor visibility – how to deal with it?

Windows and wipers for the first time
The fall and winter season is not the best time for the windows of our cars. Vehicles in front of us throw mud and sand at us, and when we park the car under a tree, wet leaves fall on the windshield. I use air conditioning often in the summer, of course not only me, and most drivers do not save on it on hot days. Therefore, the ventilation ducts become contaminated, and as a result, the air conditioning and air supply do not work properly. Minor changes for good visibility
Small changes, but a big effect. Driving safety depends on many factors. Among them, there are functional ones light bulbs and headlights. In autumn it gets dark earlier, but fog also limits visibility. I check whether I need to replace the bulbs and avoid situations when I suddenly lose good lighting in the dark. Additionally, I equip my car with a brush for removing leaves, a scraper, squeegees for removing water from the body and side windows, and window sponges moisture-absorbing. I cannot ignore the increased risk of windows fogging. In autumn and winter, steam settles on the quick more often than during the other two seasons. Imagine situations when you want to go to work in the morning, but you can't see anything through the front and rear windows. Such rugs are a much better solution for this time of year than velvet rugs. It is easy to remove dirt that appears very often in autumn and winter. In autumn and winter, I wash my car much more often, but I also protect the paint beforehand against water, mud and scratches caused by, among others, sand and gravel being thrown out by other vehicles driving in front of me.
