The cockpit in a car is the driver's business card. We can compare it to the interior of our apartment. Well-kept and clean reflects well on its owner. Check out how to make the interior of your car sparkle clean and shiny!

Introducing My Car Cockpit. This is an aerosol preparation for cleaning the cockpit and all plastic elements inside the car. Thanks to the content of caring substances, the product, when used regularly, delays the aging process of plastic, gives shine and leaves a pleasant scent.

Dashboards are made of various types of materials, e.g. matte, rough, shiny, hard or soft. Each of these materials may behave differently and react differently to a given preparation, which is why it is difficult to find the right product. One dashboard looks better in a glossy version, while another looks better in a matte version. The Moje Auto brand offers both a glossy and matte product for the cockpit. The preparations are available in seven different scents.

If the cockpit is heavily dirty, it must first be washed and degreased. We recommend using preparation for cleaning plastics from the Moje Auto Plastiki product line. We can use an aerosol cockpit preparation on washed and degreased surfaces.

How to clean the cockpit?

STEP 1: Before use, shake the container vigorously so that the active ingredients contained in the product are distributed throughout its entire volume, which will allow for better performance.

STEP 2: Apply the preparation onto a cloth or directly onto the surface to be cleaned from a distance of approx. 20 cm. Maintaining this distance is extremely important because if we use the product at a distance of less than 15 cm, the pressure in the aerosol container may cause the preparation to spray sideways (e.g. onto the glass surface). However, if we use the product from a distance above 25 cm, the product will not be dosed precisely. Correct dosing of the preparation is an extremely important element because it contains lubricating substances. Thanks to the spray nozzle, the product is applied very precisely while maintaining the appropriate distance. It is dispensed exactly to the place we want to clean, without splashes. This also allows you to apply the product sparingly - so one can will last longer, and when you apply the product to the surface near the glass, you won't get it dirty.

We remember!

We do not spray the steering wheel and pedals with the preparation, as they would become slippery and pose a threat to our safety. We also do not spray the windows because they would create streaks that would be difficult to remove.

STEP 3: Then we polish the cleaned surface with a soft cloth - until it is dry and the preparation is evenly distributed so as not to leave streaks and streaks. After using this preparation, a pleasant scent lingers inside for a very long time. This is because the Moje Auto cockpit cleaner in the aerosol does not contain solvents. This also guarantees complete safety for the user. The preparation has an antistatic function, which reduces the possibility of dust re-deposition.

The effect that can be achieved by using this product is more than satisfactory. After finishing the work, we can enjoy a nice-looking dashboard that looks almost new.

Accuracy plays the first fiddle

A good preparation is the first step to a well-kept cockpit. In this case, unfortunately, drivers cannot compromise, the cockpit is the element we look at most often when traveling. It usually consists of many details that attract the attention of passengers, or it is simply one of the most interesting things in the interior of the car. Air intakes, various recesses and protrusions, and other solutions allowing for the installation of external equipment such as a radio or navigation, as well as a multitude of different types of buttons allow us to define the cockpit in two words - command center. Therefore, when taking care of the cockpit, we should pay attention to the following aspects:

– whether all its elements fit together well. In this case, make sure that the radio or navigation is installed correctly. The aesthetics of the cockpit include cleanliness and consistency.

– what materials its body and all other related elements were made of. It would be best if the car manufacturer decided to use the same materials when producing the dashboard and the grille protecting the air vent. This solution will allow the driver to save time and money on cleaning products. However, most car brands have noticed this problem a long time ago and decided to save drivers from worry by using the same plastics in the production of the cockpit.

Let's check out the cockpit elements

– before we start caring for the cockpit, we should set aside some time for it. Cleaning is a process that requires precision and caution. Some parts of the cockpit may have more wear than others. Referring to the examples - the button or knob responsible for turning on the dipped beam headlights is touched at least twice during each trip. Polish law includes a provision requiring all drivers to drive with their lights on. Most drivers must turn them on before driving and turn them off after driving. Over time, the protective layer covering the plastic of the button or knob will most likely wear off. However, during this time, the button responsible for turning on the hazard warning lights will look as if no one had touched it before. This is the result of less frequent use. Therefore, before cleaning, it is always worth inspecting the cockpit and deciding which elements should be cleaned gently and which should be cleaned more invasively.

– nowadays, car cockpits are increasingly packed with electronics. We can operate some devices using touch panels in the same way as smartphones. When using a specialized preparation for cleaning the cockpit, remember that electronic devices equipped with a display or touch screen are usually external equipment that is mounted in the dashboard, so it is not part of the cockpit in the literal sense of the word and is also made of completely different materials, so it should not be washed in the same way as plastics.

Why is it worth taking care of your cockpit?

Some drivers refrain from using preparations intended for the care of the car's cockpit because they assume that wiping it with a damp cloth is enough. Unfortunately, this is the wrong approach. Water does not have the same protective properties as the preparation and dust will quickly appear on the cockpit, and plastics will quickly begin to lose their visual value, which will increase the impression that they are of poor quality. So why is it worth using preparations such as Moje Auto Kokpit or Moje Auto Plastiki?

First of all, it's the dust mentioned above. Unfortunately, it only seems to pose no threat, as it may cause more serious problems. It creates an ideal environment for the emergence of mites and even fungi. If someone suffers from allergies, traveling will become a real nightmare for them.

Secondly, every car does not cope very well with extreme temperatures. So summer and winter are hard times for cars. The summer heat can lead to a significant increase in the temperature in the car cabin. Dashboard materials can begin to fade and fade, making them look older than they actually are. However, winter has a more negative impact on the cockpit and the entire interior of our car in general. Negative temperatures can even damage individual elements of the cockpit - they may deform and occasionally even crack. As a result, the dashboard will not only lose its impeccable appearance, but passengers traveling in such a car may also begin to hear irritating creaking and other unwanted sounds.
