It was then that a new law came into force, which allows for the reduction of the 6 oldest penalty points. How to check penalty points? How to delete penalty points? Who can benefit from this solution? We give you a hint!

Penalty points, in addition to financial penalties, are a consequence of various road offenses. In the case of young drivers, it is 20, and for people with longer driving experience - 24.

Checking penalty points

Let's start from the beginning, that is, from the fact that you can easily check the number of your penalty points. How to check penalty points? This can be done at a police station, as well as online - using the CEPiK 2.0 system. A visit to the police station will require a document confirming your identity. How to check penalty points online? Just use the app mCitizen. There is a separate tab about the driving license and accumulated points. You will need an identity profile to confirm your identity. It is worth remembering that reduction of penalty points is not a solution available to everyone. This option can only be used by people who meet certain requirements:

  • in the case of drivers with driving licenses for less than one year – after exceeding 20 penalty points, the permission is withdrawn by the starosta. Such a person cannot use the option to remove the accumulated points, even if he has not approached this limit. After exceeding the limit, it is necessary to pass the theoretical and practical exam again,
  • in the case of drivers with more experience – after exceeding 24 penalty points, your license will still be suspended and you will need to undergo a psychological examination and re-examination. In such a situation, the number of points cannot be reversed. Penalty points can be reduced to a maximum of 23 points.

  • social and legal consequences of road accidents,
  • causes and consequences of road accidents occurring in Poland,
  • traffic regulations,
  • ways to prevent accidents and psychological aspects of driving,
  • practical exercises - emergency braking at a speed of 30-50 km/h.

The entire training takes place in one day. Information on scheduled course dates can be obtained directly from the nearest WORD. Approximately 2 teaching hours are allocated to each of the above-mentioned theoretical topics.
